It was one hell of a live show all right. One which I’ll never forget. =) The band performed 17 songs for their setlist but just as what it looks like the group was done as they wave the goodbye hand gestures, they made not one, but two encores for a total of 25 songs overall. Two! Radiohead loves us Canadians too! =)I just wished they included, Fake Plastic Trees, in there. That would’ve really brought the whole house down more than how, Nude, did on us. One thing that I would say caught everyone off guard were: Planet Telex and Talk Show Host. No one was expecting those songs since I think Radiohead hardly plays these songs nowadays. Street Spirit (fade out), was another outstander that got several folks from different regions of the venue singing along; especially on the last line of the third verse (“And fade out again”) where I heard some people in my vicinity uttering the, “again”, part. What also surprised me was this family of six who showed up. Six of them. That includes what appears to be their grandfather lol! I never knew that Radiohead is so fucking awesome they even have listener demographics of this age. Well that really made my day than it already was good to begin with. =) As the each of the members left the stage individually starting with vocalist, Thom Yorke, I don’t think everyone was ready to call it a night just yet. But everyone’s gotta go home and we were very thankul to Radiohead for coming down here to see us kick-ass Torontonians (although technically I’m a Mississaugan ;]) while Summer is still in full-bloom. I definitely will see them again! This is Radiohead after all. Not 5cents. Not Wussycat Dolls nor some punk-ass band who typifies monotonous squealing guitar amps and emotic-lyricism while in their foundation+eyeliners getup just to bring the house down. Nope, I don’t think I’m willing to give in my $80 for ‘usual’ acts. Radiohead, however, doesn’t need such clonal formulas many musiciansartists do today could only muster. If only I could see them play a gig in Japan (I think later this year before the end of their internatioinal tour), fuck I would’ve ordered the ticket about the same time I bought their Toronto gig date. But it’s okay. I can wait till they do another Canadian tour.-concert reviews: link 1, link 2
